State of emergency: Preparing for the worst.
The stuff of life does not always make sense, especially when the storms of life hit, causing damage, overtaking what we’ve defined our life to be, consuming our time and attention. But. God is with us in every place of life. And.
The reality of God brings peace into our panic, silences our worries, and dispels our fear of the future.
When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you (Isaiah 43:2, NLT).
It’s worth remembering and repeating the truth, “God is with me,” even in the worst storm of life.
The thing is . . . storms are a part of our story . . . however, storms are not the story. The presence of Christ is the story.
Through Christ, we are more than conquerors, strengthened to do all things, released from the power of the worst of storms, freed to anticipate the best is yet to come.
Write and underline it on your life list:
- God is with me.
- I will not drown in the rivers of difficulty.
- I will not be burned up in the fire of oppression.
- I will not be consumed in the flames of adversity.
Learning to Kickstart the day underlining the truth: God is with me.
