Little two-year-old Sydney will be leaving China in a couple of weeks and will start her life with us. But. The most amazing thing has occurred. She’s already ours despite the fact that she’s not home yet. We are attached to her with a deep love from studying pictures and reading reports. It’s remarkable what God does with love.
I’ve experienced it before—while we were waiting for Madelyn just three years ago and Tim years before. It’s a miracle. There’s no way to adequately explain what happens; however, I’m convinced . . .
God is ALREADY at work and has planned for more than can be imagined, which has NOT YET occurred in our life.
The Apostle Paul wrote about the reality of the ALREADY and NOT YET:
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns (Philippians 1:6, NLT).
The ALREADY and NOT YET is seen through faith and hope. There’s so much we miss when we see without faith and hope. Do you see it? Do you see the ALREADY and NOT YET of God? Be assured God is at work right now and has amazing plans for your future.
I pray you will take a moment today and celebrate the ALREADY and NOT YET.
