It’s MONDAY.

I’m back from sabbatical.  I actually started back to work two weeks ago; however, I had to adjust to it all.  My re-entry had been planned with some margin to figure out what was what.

But.  It’s MONDAY!  The day, planned to enter in full steam.  No turning back.  Fully engaged.  Doing it all.

Even though I’ve already logged in some long hours in the last two weeks, I’ve not fully engaged my mind, heart, and soul. It’s difficult to let go of sabbatical days.  But.  Today is the day.    It’s time to fully enter in, immersing myself in the work of the day.

The thing is . . .

God is an all-in God.  And.  I’ve learned, the fullness of life comes when I fully engage, trusting God to be present in each moment, doing what has been set before me to do.

The Scripture promises God enters in with us:

7-8 Then Moses summoned Joshua. He said to him with all Israel watching, “Be strong. Take courage. You will enter the land with this people, this land that God promised their ancestors that he’d give them. You will make them the proud possessors of it. God is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t worry.” Deuteronomy 31:7-8~The Message (MSG)

Doesn’t it change your day when you think of God striding ahead of you, entering into each moment of the day with you?  Seriously, it takes the worry and angst right out of me.  If, God is with me, then, what do I have to worry about?

So.

I’m going in.  Grateful God is striding ahead of me, never letting go of me.

How about you?  Are you ready for your MONDAY?

  2. Welcome back and glad you’re back Pastor Kerrie. I miss getting email notifications that you wrote/posted a blog. Love your encouraging and inspiring words. Just what I needed to hear when I was about to give up on my “all in” choice for the last 2 years. I asked God to help renew that steadfast spirit in me, and He’s been sending messages like this to me all day! In God’s Love, ~Nikki
