A Great Monday

I’ve not always liked Mondays.  It’s a back-to-business kind of day after experiencing the weekend’s gift of freedom from the routine of daily business.  But. Daily business fills a great deal of life.  How I see and respond to daily business is not only a choice but will impact myself and those around me.

When I’m worried and stressed, I create a negative environment and more often than not, receive negativity from others.   It’s up to me to change  whatever produces negativity in the business of the day.   There’s nothing good that comes out of negativity.  Nothing.

When you get down to it, making the choice to live in the negativity of worry and stress is choosing to live against how God has said to live.

I’m a big fan of the Bible version, The Voice, for inspiration.  I like how it translates  Philippians 4:8-9, giving a prescription of sorts of how to choose to live far from negativity:

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, fill your minds with beauty and truth. Meditate on

  • whatever is honorable,
  • whatever is right,
  • whatever is pure,
  • whatever is lovely,
  • whatever is good,
  • whatever is virtuous and praiseworthy.

9 Keep to the script: whatever you learned and received and heard and saw in me—do it—and the God of peace will walk with you. (Philippians 4:8-9, The Voice.)

You and I have chosen to walk with the God of peace rather than the negativity of worry and stress when the mind is centered on the positive life-filled words from the script God has written for daily living.

I am choosing to make Monday a great day,  staying far away from the negativity of worry and stress, walking with the God of peace.

Praying you will make it a great day!

I have a new Christian friend that said she would quit her job and put all of her energy into serving God… I replied by saying ” ARE YOU CRAZY?”…. First off jobs are hard to come by right now.. besides she works as a cashier at a grocery store.. what a wonderful occupation to show the love of Jesus Christ through her kindness with people.
