I’m grateful on 11-12-13, a date that reminds me of the miraculous divine order of all things. if, you know me at all, you know I enjoy the details of the framework of each day, even the smallest of things.
I thank God for
the sunrise each morning as the light breaks into the darkness,
the quiet of the first morning hours before the world wakes up,
the ability to read and receive the truth of God’s word, which fits perfectly in my heart and mind,
the confidence and peace, which come after surrendering the day to God in prayer,
the gift of living each day with passion and purpose,
the opportunity to be a pastor, blessed for the opportunities to love and encourage others,
the love of family and friends, woven tightly within my heart,
the giggles, questions, and kisses of Madelyn and Sydney, my joy,
the setting of the sun, with the last rays of light displaying the promise of what is to come,
the anticipation of a new day,
I’m excited and grateful beyond words for baby Ellie . . . Elizabeth Hope . . . God’s abundance, waiting (rather impatiently) for the day she will be born, knowing it’s all in God’s orderly timing.
Today, I’m grateful on 11-12-13, for the miracle of God’s daily order.
Jesus said, “You’re tied down to the mundane; I’m in touch with what is beyond your horizons. You live in terms of what you see and touch. I’m living on other terms. I told you that you were missing God in all this. You’re at a dead end. If you won’t believe I am who I say I am, you’re at the dead end of sins. You’re missing God in your lives. (John 8:23-24, MSG)
